Description

This Open Access journal is available to read for FREE on Thieme E-Journals.

Ibnosina Journal of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is a peer-reviewed journal published on behalf of The Libyan Authority of Scientific Research and Technology and the Libyan Biotechnology Research Center. The journal is dedicated to the promotion of high-quality research in medicine and all related medical sciences and all aspects of professionalism and ethics in health care. IJMBS was founded in 2009 by a group of enthusiastic physicians and biomedical scientists who were concerned with the low contribution of publications from the developing world in general and the Middle East and North African (MENA) region in particular to the international medical literature. They found that compassionate publications with editors who are prepared to train authors and reviewers were missing. To fill this gap they launched IJMBS as a platform for transferring current medical knowledge to and from colleagues in developing countries, particularly the MENA region, as well as internationally. The journal enjoys support and recognition from the international medical community.

The journal is an online journal with quarterly print on demand compilation of issues published. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive the final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional/subject-based repository.

IJMBS requires that authors follow the ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly work in Medical Journals. More information can be found here: http://www.icmje.org
