Poonam Malhotra Kapoor, MD, DNB, MNAMS, FIACTA, FTEE, FISCU, is currently working as a Professor, Department of Cardiac Anaesthesia and Critical Care, Cardiac Thoracic Center, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India. She is the President of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Anaesthesiologists (IACTA) and The Society of Cardiac Anaesthesia— Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR). Dr Kapoor is the President (2022–2023) of the Southwest Asia and Africa Chapter of the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (SWAAC ELSO). She is the Past President of ECMO Society of India and the Chairman of Academics and Founder Secretary of The Simulation Society. She is the co-founder of the IACTA Education and Research Cell and Indian College of Cardiac Anaesthesia. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Cardiac Critical Care and Former Chief Editor of Annals of Cardiac Anaesthesia.
