About the Author 

Ramanjit Sihota, MD, FRCS, FRCOphth, is Professor and Head of Glaucoma Research Facility and Clinical Services at Dr Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. She was honored with the “Research Recognition Award” from the World Glaucoma Association. She has also won numerous national and international awards for advances in glaucoma management. Dr. Sihota is also the coordinator of the National Task Force on Glaucoma, currently operational across India. Under WHO SEARO, she has helped rationalize the treatment of primary angle closure disease in Southeast Asia. She is the editor of the book Parson’s Diseases of the Eye, has contributed multiple chapters in books, and published over 200 papers in peer-reviewed indexed international journals. She has also served as the past-president of the Glaucoma Society of India.
